I miss you

Filed under: ecml — Blandine @ 1:32 pm

I want to talk about something that is very important when you are in a country wich is not your real contry..

Since I was a child , I travel with my family… But I think that the more dificult is when you have to leave all your friends. I have lost a lot of friends because of this, and sometimes I just don’t want to fell that’s way again…

So many friends, so many memories… and all this is too hard for my heart. Nobody can’t understand this.

When one day, I arrived to school and my father told me that we were going to live in Brazil. You can’t imagine.. I was a child and I was crying, crying and crying… I had a lot of friends there, but today we had change, and nothing is the same. That’s sad, but that’s our life!

Today, I love Brazil, but I know that someday I will have to leave, and but I hope that will be the latest possible!

  5. As they say in English, ‘Home is where the heart is.” If you stay centered in your heart, then you are always home, no matter where you go. —
It’s an extract from The daily Mirror is a British tabloid (popular newspaper) which was launched in 1903. The Mirror sells about 2 million copies every day.

Michelle McManus won Pop Idol, a successful entertainment reality show watch by 12.1 million.
Michelle McManus is a overweight girl but talented and determined, and doesn’t want go on a diet for the viewers and she doesn’t care about her public image.
She loves performing and some people because of that find her attractive. She doesn’t want to be like Britney Spears and she is happy like that.
She is now making a record about her experience on Pop Idol and she is proud of what she did.
This text retract a typical problems of if the success is based more on image than talent. And do you think that’s fair??

  6. Blandine,

I completely understand how you feel about having to move so often. When I was growing up my family moved every two years, sometimes to a foreign country, sometimes to another region of the United States. It didn’t matter…I always felt like a stranger and was sad that we had to move.

Now that I’m grown up, I am grateful to have had all those experiences. They have made me a better person; I am able to understand the cultures and backgrounds of my students much better. Also, my family is international…my husband lived in Mexico as a child, and our son has married a woman from Japan. Now my granddaughters speak Japanese, English, some Spanish and they are learning French in school (in Texas).

I know it is hard for you, but there will be a time when you will be able to smile about all the moves. And perhaps you will be lucky enough to find a friend over the Internet. I was able to find my best friend from when I was 13 years old…we hadn’t seen each other in over 35 years, but I found her name by using Google and we got back together. It was as if we had never been apart!

I hope you can find some peace and joy in where life is taking you. Please keep writing about what you are feeling and experiencing.

    Bonne chance!
