When I was growing up my family moved every two years, sometimes to a foreign country, sometimes to another region of the United States. It didn't matter...I always felt like a stranger and was sad that we had to move. Now that I'm grown up, I am grateful to have had all those experiences. They have made me a better person; I am able to understand the cultures and backgrounds of my students much better. Also, my family is international...my husband lived in Mexico as a child, and our son has married a woman from Japan. Now my granddaughters speak Japanese, English, some Spanish and they are learning French in school (in Texas). I know it is hard for you, but there will be a time when you will be able to smile about all the moves. And perhaps you will be lucky enough to find a friend over the Internet. I was able to find my best friend from when I was 13 years old...we hadn't seen each other in over 35 years, but I found her name by using Google and we got back together. It was as if we had never been apart! I hope you can find some peace and joy in where life is taking you. Please keep writing about what you are feeling and experiencing. Bonne chance! Blandine,
